You’re fighting a fish. AnglerCall takes the call.

When your phone rings and you can’t get to it, AnglerCall answers in your charter’s name, answers trip questions from your own prices and policies, and sends you the trip request before they call the next captain.

Founding captains pay $49 a month, locked. No setup fee, no contract.

Anglers book when the idea hits them.

A slow afternoon at work. A long weekend coming up. A fishing report that looks too good to pass on. They pull up a few captains and start dialing.

If they get voicemail, a lot of them don’t leave a message. They call the next number on the list, and the trip goes to whoever picks up. You can’t answer with a rod in your hands. AnglerCall can.

How it works

  1. Keep your number

When you don’t pick up, your phone forwards the call to your AnglerCall line. Same number on your truck, your cards and your site.

  2. It answers as your charter

It greets callers by your business name, says it’s your automated assistant, and lets them know the call may be recorded. You pick its name and its voice.

  3. It knows your trips

It answers from your First Mate site or Unreel listing: trips, prices, what to bring, where you leave from, what’s biting this time of year. Ask about weather and it reads the NOAA forecast for your area, then says you make the call on conditions.

  4. You get the request

Name, callback number, party size, dates and the trip they want land on your phone and in your email as soon as the call ends. Call them back from the dock.

It knows what’s your call.

An assistant that guesses is worse than voicemail. AnglerCall sticks to what you’ve published and leaves the decisions to you.

It will

  • Answer questions from your own trips, prices and policies
  • Take down dates, party size and the trip they want
  • Read the NOAA forecast for your area
  • Say up front that it’s an automated assistant
  • Tell every caller the call may be recorded

It won’t

  • Confirm a date or book a trip. That’s yours to do.
  • Quote a price you haven’t published
  • Take a card number over the phone
  • Promise the weather or call a trip on or off
  • Give advice on regulations, refunds or seasickness meds

One plan. One flat price.

One booked trip a month covers it several times over. If it doesn’t earn its keep, cancel. There’s no contract to get out of.

Want your website to answer too? Pair it with AI chat on your First Mate site for $59 a month founding, $89 standard.

Founding pricing is for our earliest First Mate and Unreel Charters captains.

Built for First Mate and Unreel Charters captains. If you already have a First Mate site or an Unreel listing, AnglerCall reads it. There’s nothing new to fill out.

Questions captains ask

Will callers know they’re talking to an AI?

Yes. It says so in its first sentence. An honest assistant that answers their questions right now beats a voicemail box. If someone wants a person, it takes their number and you call them back.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You set your phone to forward calls you don’t answer, and we walk you through it for your carrier. If you’d rather have a separate number for your site, we can do that too.

What if a caller needs to talk to me?

It takes their name, number and what they need, and you get it right away. It never transfers calls and never pretends to be you.

What about recording laws?

Some states, including Florida and Massachusetts, require everyone on a call to know it may be recorded. AnglerCall says so in its greeting on every call, in every state.

Where does it get its answers?

From what you’ve already published on your First Mate site or Unreel listing: trips, prices, deposits, what’s included, departure points, species and your FAQ. Update your site and it knows the next time the phone rings.

What happens in the off season?

Pause it and you don’t pay. Turn it back on when the phone starts ringing again in the spring.

I don’t have a First Mate site or an Unreel listing.

Listing on Unreel Charters is free, and so is a First Mate site on the Deckhand plan. Either one gives AnglerCall what it needs to answer for you.

Will AnglerCall text me?

Only if you ask it to. During setup you can turn on AnglerCall alerts: a text to your mobile when a caller leaves a trip request or a message, plus replies to anything you text us. No marketing. Message frequency varies with your call volume, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop the texts at any time, or HELP for help. Callers never get texts from us. See our SMS terms and privacy policy.

Can I hear it before I sign up?

Yes. Send us a note and we’ll set up a test line that answers with your own trips, so you can call it yourself.

Your phone is going to ring this weekend. Let someone answer it.
