Terms of service

AnglerCall is a service of Harborfolk LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. Mailing address: 82 County Rd, PMB #57, Mattapoisett, MA 02739. Email: hello@anglercall.com.

These terms are an agreement between Harborfolk LLC (“we”) and the charter business that signs up for AnglerCall (“you” or the “captain”). By using AnglerCall you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.

The service

AnglerCall is an AI receptionist for fishing charters. It answers calls forwarded to it or made to a number we provide, answers questions using the information you have published on your First Mate site or Unreel Charters listing, takes trip requests and messages, and sends them to you by email, app notification and, if you opt in, text message.

The assistant tells every caller that it is an automated assistant and that the call may be recorded. You agree not to change or remove those disclosures, and not to use AnglerCall to make outbound sales calls or send marketing messages.

What AnglerCall does not do

  • It does not confirm bookings, take payments or promise availability. A trip is booked only when you confirm it with the customer.
  • It does not decide whether a trip goes out. It can read the NOAA forecast, but the weather call is always yours.
  • It does not transfer calls or pretend to be you.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep the information on your site or listing accurate, since that is what the assistant tells callers.
  • Follow up with callers in a reasonable time.
  • Have the right to forward your business phone number to AnglerCall.
  • Follow the laws that apply to your business, including fishing, licensing and consumer laws.

Accuracy

AI can make mistakes. We work to keep the assistant to the facts you publish, but we do not guarantee that every answer, summary or transcript is complete or correct, or that every call will be answered. Phone networks and providers can have outages. Check important details with the caller before you rely on them.

Price and billing

  • Founding captains: $49 a month, locked for as long as you stay subscribed without a break.
  • Standard: $79 a month.
  • Bundle with AI chat: $59 a month founding, $89 standard.
  • Each plan includes 300 minutes of answered calls a month. Unused minutes do not roll over.
  • If you reach 300 minutes, AnglerCall keeps answering only if you have turned on overage, at 15 cents a minute. If overage is off, calls go to your voicemail until the next billing month.
  • No setup fee and no contract. Plans are billed monthly in advance. You can pause for the off season at no charge, and cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing month. We do not give partial-month refunds.

We may change standard prices with 30 days’ notice by email. Founding prices do not change while your subscription stays active.

SMS terms: AnglerCall alerts

Program: AnglerCall alerts, operated by Harborfolk LLC. Captains who opt in receive text messages about their AnglerCall line: new trip requests, caller messages, missed-call summaries, account and billing notices, and replies to texts they send us. We do not send marketing texts. Callers to a captain’s line do not receive texts from this program.

How to opt in: during AnglerCall setup, or in your account settings, you enter your mobile number and check a box that is not pre-checked, agreeing to receive AnglerCall alerts by text. Opting in is not required to use AnglerCall or to buy anything.

Message frequency varies with your call volume. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will get one text confirming you are unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. For help, reply HELP or email hello@anglercall.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our privacy policy.

Recordings and consent

Some states, including Florida and Massachusetts, require all parties to consent to call recording. AnglerCall announces recording at the start of every call. You agree not to disable that announcement and to keep the recordings and transcripts you receive private and use them only for your business.

Acceptable use

Don’t use AnglerCall for anything unlawful, to mislead callers, to harass anyone, or to try to break or overload the service. We may suspend a line that is being misused.

Ending the service

You can cancel at any time by emailing us. We can end the service with 30 days’ notice, or right away if these terms are seriously broken. When the service ends, your forwarding should be turned off, and we handle your records as described in the privacy policy.

Limits on liability

AnglerCall is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost bookings, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for AnglerCall in the three months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and email captains about significant changes before they take effect.
